Every other Reset Bible page runs live countdowns because those platforms document a reset moment. Perplexity documents none, so a timer here would be fiction. Instead, here is how to see the only usage numbers that are actually yours.
See your Pro Search usage

- Choose Settings, then the Account page.
- Read the Usage / Plan section — it shows your plan and how much of your Pro Search allowance you have used.
That panel, plus the limit message Perplexity shows when you run out, is the only authoritative source. No public page — including this one — can know your personal reset moment, because Perplexity has never published how it is calculated.

Midnight UTC. Reported by third-party sites from the old 300-searches-a-day era. Never stated by Perplexity.
Rolling 24-hour window. Other guides and user reports say each used slot comes back 24 hours after the query that consumed it. Also never stated by Perplexity.
Every ~4 hours. Some free users report their Pro Search allowance trickling back a few times a day. Inconsistent, and again unofficial.
Perplexity's own plan guide lists only periods — “3 per day” on free, weekly/monthly on paid — and explicitly does not establish a universal reset clock. Until Perplexity publishes one, the honest answer stays: not published.
02 — THE CYCLESWhat refreshes, how often — and what nobody knows
Perplexity's allowances run on daily, weekly and monthly periods. The periods are documented; the reset moments are not. This table keeps the two strictly separate.

About the numbers you see on other sites: subscriber reports say Pro's Pro Search allowance went from 300/day to roughly 200/week in late 2025 / early 2026, with a further tightening reported in May 2026. Perplexity never announced any of these figures, and its current official pages publish no number at all. This page treats those figures as reports, not limits — and so should you.

Perplexity's official comparison (last modified October 2026) describes consumer tiers in words, not numbers — “weekly limits (average use)” is the whole specification for Pro Search on Pro and Max. The table below shows exactly what is and isn't pinned down, with the 2026 changes that shrank what you get.

What changed in 2026
- February 2026 — the $5/month API credit was cancelled. Pro used to bundle $5 of monthly API credit. Perplexity support confirmed to a user on Feb 12, 2026 that it was a “time-limited benefit” and is permanently discontinued; current Pro/Max help pages no longer list it.
- Free Pro Search cut from 5/day to 3/day, per the official plan comparison checked in September 2026.
- The numbers disappeared. Perplexity's comparison tables once listed concrete caps; they now say only “weekly limits (average use)” and “monthly limits (average use)” across the Pro Search and Research rows (help pages last modified Oct 2, 2026).
- Perplexity Computer got a credit model: Pro receives no monthly Computer allocation (just the one-time 4,000-credit bonus with a 30-day expiry); Max includes 10,000 credits/month under a default $200 monthly spending cap.
- Reported, not announced: subscribers say the effective Pro allowance tightened from 300 Pro Searches/day to roughly ~200/week, with file uploads cut as well — documented in user reports and consumer-rights trackers, never confirmed by Perplexity, and with no grandfathering for existing subscribers.

Since Perplexity publishes neither reset times nor consumer-tier numbers, your account is the ground truth. Three official destinations:

When does my Perplexity Pro Search quota reset?
Perplexity does not publish an exact reset time for any plan. On the free plan, Pro Searches are a daily allowance (3 per day). On paid plans, the official comparison describes Pro Search only as weekly limits based on average use, with no reset day or hour stated. The only authoritative readout is your own account, under Settings → Account, in the Usage/Plan section.
Does Perplexity reset at midnight UTC?
Nobody can confirm that from an official source. Third-party claims conflict: some sites from the old 300-searches-a-day era reported a midnight UTC reset, while others report a rolling 24-hour window where each slot returns 24 hours after it was used. Perplexity itself publishes neither, so treat any exact reset hour you read elsewhere as unverified.
How many Pro Searches do I get on the free plan?
3 Pro Searches per day, per Perplexity's official plan comparison (checked September 2026). That is down from 5 per day earlier in 2026. Basic Quick searches on the free plan remain practically unlimited, and free accounts also get 1 Deep Research query per month.
How many Pro Searches does Perplexity Pro include?

Do unused Perplexity searches roll over?
No. Perplexity does not promise that unused requests roll over. Monthly allowances reset at the start of each billing period, and one-time grants expire: the 4,000 Perplexity Computer credits given as a Pro signup bonus expire 30 days after they are granted.
Where can I check my Perplexity usage?
